I was in Stuttgart for a few hours last week over lunch, which clearly meant having to research and find somewhere to eat in the city. I have been to Stuttgart before but not very often and not recently, so it was fun to see just where I could go for lunch. There are tons of options but I picked the easiest, non-chain option that I could find: Senzanome.
Senzanome is right in downtown and an easy walk to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof), it was hopping when I got there and I was a bit worried that they wouldn’t be able to seat me. But thankfully, they whisked me away to a small table by the window where I got to watch the suits hurry down the street.
They have a lunch menu for ‘normal’ folk, which had a few pizzas and different noodle dishes on it, but they were more than willing to let me order from their regular menu. Their regular menu has one page that lists the gluten-free pasta that they have (including cannelloni!!) and that they can do any pizza gluten-free for an extra 2,50€, as well as two gluten-free Desserts: Tiramisu and mango-coconut sorbet. I obviously had to go for the Tiramisu.
I didn’t take a photo of my lunch because no one needs another photo of a salad.
This little tiramisu was admittedly not what I was expecting for six euros, but it was very good. While it is lacking in lady fingers, it makes up for in pure gooey, alcohol-filled deliciousness.
It may not have been what I had expected, but I still definitely recommend Senzanome if you are looking for a good place for gluten-free italian restaurant in Stuttgart!
